How to Register as a Runner/Walker and set up your Online Personal Fundraising Page
Select the race you are entering. If asked, select your estimated finishing time [note that there is a “walker” category at the bottom of each pull down menu], and then click the Submit button to go to the next page.
Fill in your personal information, email address, etc.
Optional: click the Family Member box if you would like to register up to 4 other people living at the same address as you. You will be able to select different distances for each participant.
IMPORTANT – Scroll down the page until you see the red Scotiabank Charity Challenge section. Click the box that says Create Personal Fundraising Web Page.
Click in the box that says “select”. You will see a list of charities. Scroll down towards the bottom and select OCISO – Run for a New Start.
Enter a Username and Password. This will allow you to access your Personal Fundraising Page afterwards.
IMPORTANT – be sure to keep a record of your User Name and Password for use later on.
Click the “I Agree” acknowledgment, after reading the Ottawa Race Weekend’s terms and conditions.
Fill in the online payment information and click Submit.
NB: Race registration fees are as follows – $40 for 2km, $55 for 5km, $65 for 10km, $90 for half marathon (21km), $110 for full marathon (42km) – plus HST and processing fee. OCISO is not permitted to issue an official tax receipt for your registration fee (only for donations). The registration fee is considered an in-kind contribution, for which we are indeed very grateful.
Once you have successfully registered, you will then receive a confirmation screen requesting you to click SUBMIT. Once you click submit you will be automatically transferred to your online fundraising page where you can edit your personal fundraising page, upload photos and videos, edit your fundraising goal and message, and send fundraising emails to your friends and families.
