YOCISO recognizes the importance of wellness, which is why we offer several programs that promote overall youth wellbeing every week. These programs allow youth to recognize the importance of caring for their mental health, and provide opportunities for youth to learn strategies and techniques to become the best versions of themselves.
This YOCISO program aims to support the health and wellbeing of our youth. The program promotes the idea of self-care in hopes that youth begin to gain the necessary skills for them to sustain a long-term self-care plan. Themes discussed in this program include stress-management, mindfulness, and self-love.
This program allows youth to commit to their physical health through exercise and fitness literacy. Power Hour encourages youth to ensure that they are getting proper rest, eating well and staying active on a daily basis. It’s a great place to connect with new friends in a safe and welcoming environment.
YOCISO provides counselling and mental health support to immigrant and refugee youth in Ottawa. Clients come from diverse backgrounds with various culture-related issues.
