Our work is augmented by the generous efforts of our enthusiastic, caring and talented volunteers, both established and new Canadians.
OCISO recognizes the dignity and worth of every person and is committed to creating an environment that is safe, accessible, inclusive, and respectful of all. Our Racial Equity Committee (REC) provides guidance and support to the OCISO management team on ongoing efforts to improve racial equity within the organization and within the communities we serve. REC addresses racial discrimination, inequity, and oppression that racialized employees and community members face. All members of this committee are expected to foster equity and inclusion, in accordance with the expectations set out in OCISO’s Anti-racism, anti-oppression policy.
You can follow public events organized by the REC on our events calendar.
