Join YOCISO on Wednesday, June 1st at 3:30- 4:30 pm to learn about Algonquin College programs and services, special admission exceptions made for mature students (19+), and admission steps to take if you have international education!
Whether you’re studying in Ottawa, Pembroke, Perth or online, you’ll have everything you need to succeed. Algonquin offers academic help, social events, recreational facilities, job searching, and volunteer opportunities. To support with the transition to College studies, representatives from ASPIRE AC (algonquincollege.com) will be providing information on their available services.
ASPIRE AC students are students who face multiple barriers to get their college credentials, and who may need individualized support and services to access, transition to, and succeed at college.
  • First-generation students (the first in their family to attend college/university)
  • Students who are new to Canada
  • Indigenous peoples
  • LGTBQ students
  • Students who were in extended society care
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Mature students (Second Career, retraining, etc.)
  • Students who identify with diversity groups
  • Students facing socio-economic or other challenges
