Sharing Our Voices in Welcoming Ottawa Week 2022

OCISO is proud to be hosting an event for Welcome Ottawa Week at its main location.

OCISO will feature a storytelling segment to bring attention to particular challenges and successes encountered by immigrants in their integration journey using the idea of the Human Library.

A Human Library is a way for people to reach out and connect with individuals in their community that they might not normally engage with. Visitors to a library have an opportunity to borrow Human Books and engage in conversation with the books during a planned event.

OCISO's human books from all intersections and walks of life will engage and share their enriching stories on their settlement in the Canadian society.
