OCISO’s 2022 Run for a New Start campaign featured 49 team members. In late May, they walked and ran distances ranging from 2 km to 42 km and raised $10,477 for OCISO’s Counselling Program for newcomers to Canada.

Amazingly, for the 7th year in a row, our top fundraiser was OCISO volunteer Elizabeth Gluckstal ($3,009), followed closely by David Rain ($3,000)!

Our sincere thanks goes out to all our fundraising team members and their sponsors, to Run Ottawa and the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend for their fabulous ongoing support, and to the Maple Wishes Foundation who have so generously donated to our Run for a New Start campaigns for many years. 

We have already started to plan for the 2023 edition of Run for a New Start and we hope you’ll join us then! 

In the meantime, Saturday 5K & Kids 1K Series at the Central Experimental Farm is full on track! For the the event on September 3, Run Ottawa is kindly supporting OCISO! That means 50% of registration fees will be donated directly to Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization - OCISO!
