Friends of the Family Fundraiser, the Harbour Harvest
February 19 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
We are very excited to announce the upcoming Friends of the Family Fundraiser, the Harbour Harvest!
Date: Sunday, February 19th
Time: anytime between 8am-3pm
Where: Nepean Sailing Club (3259 Carling Ave.)
Who: Anyone and everyone!
To purchase tickets:
This is a great opportunity for you to bring your friends and families and try one of Canada’s quintessential winter sport!
Rookie/Competitive Fishing Hole – $25
This gets you a rod, hook/bait or lure, plus there will be experts around to help you drill the hole, set up the line and teach you the basics.
There is only one fishing line allowed in each hole, so if you want to increase your luck in catching fish, you could consider getting another hole or two!
Early bird discount code available until January 30th.
Save 25% by using the code: “EARLY25”
Kids 7 to 14 and under are only $5 and get their own hole!
· Kids 6 and under are free (but share adult hole).
Galley Breakfast – $15 (of which $4 goes directly to Friends of the Family).
2 eggs, roasted potatoes hash browns, bacon or sausage toast (meat substitutes available), and unlimited hot chocolate and coffee.
Bet on a Hole 50/50 – $10
This is a good option if you can’t attend but want to support this fundraiser.
There will be between 200-400 holes in the ice with lines ready to strike! These holes/rods will be numbered at random. If your ticketed hole catches the biggest fish, you will receive a surprise package worth over $300!
VIP Package – $500
This gets you 4 holes, 4 breakfasts, gift card, unlimited coffee and hot chocolate, private (heated!) ice-shelter popup and a plethora of other goodies – not to mention, you’ll be treated like royalty for the day!
*Each VIP package sold will also sponsor a family of new Canadians to participate in the Rookie Division at no cost!
Besides food, drink and ice fishing, there will be ice games – Ice cricket, Ice soccer, Ice volleyball, and curling (depending on ice conditions), pull your spouse/family toboggan challenges and more!
There will be lots of prizes to win and awards given out at 3pm.
Please spread the word about this event to your friends and family and your network on social media! Thanks so much!
It is our hope that with the funds generated through the Harbour Harvest event, more refugee families in Ottawa will be able to get matched to volunteer Groups of Friends and create those long-lasting meaningful friendships.
Hope to see you out there on the ice!
