We Assist with:

•  Addressing complex issues concerning immigration, housing, health, legal issues, education, employment, finance and social needs.
•  Providing assessment, information/orientation, consultation, supportive counselling, advocacy, translation/interpretation and referrals to other services in the community.
•  Delivering services to support adaptation and integration processes by provision of specialized services including crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

The role of the Community Economic Development Program is to explore, identify and create opportunities for economic development initiatives within the immigrant community in Ottawa.

The Career Mentoring Program supports internationally educated professionals to obtain employment in their field. Clients are matched with a volunteer Career Mentor working in the same or a related field. Mentors within the program are community volunteers who work in the same or a related field to the client they are matched with. OCISO also offers mentorships between internationally educated professionals and public service employees under the FCRO public service mentoring initiative.
